Anonymous Usage
You can play real or not? without creating an account. When you play anonymously, we generate a random session identifier stored in your browser's localStorage. This identifier is not linked to your personal identity.
Account Information
If you choose to sign in, we collect the information provided by your authentication method:
- Google Sign-In: Name, email address, and profile picture
- Email Magic Link: Email address only
Game Data
We collect your game results (correct/incorrect guesses) to provide statistics and track your progress. Chat messages in the Human vs AI game are processed in real-time and are not stored on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the game experience
- To display your personal statistics and progress
- To calculate and display global statistics
- To enable cross-device progress syncing (signed-in users)
3. Cookies & Local Storage
We use the following technologies:
- localStorage: To store your anonymous session ID, game stats, and preferences
- Cookies: Authentication cookies when you sign in (managed by Supabase Auth)
- Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how people use the site. This uses cookies to collect anonymous usage data. You can opt out using browser extensions or cookie settings.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase: Database hosting and authentication
- Anthropic (Claude): AI chat responses in the Human vs AI game
- Google Analytics: Anonymous usage analytics
- Vercel: Website hosting
- Unsplash: Source for real photographs used in the game
Each of these services has their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.
5. Data Retention
Game scores are retained indefinitely to maintain global statistics. If you sign in, your scores are linked to your account. You can request deletion of your data by contacting us.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. Authentication is handled by industry-standard providers. We do not store passwords. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
